World-Class Author, Innovator, Professional Speaker,
and Unconventional Career Expert

Ernie Zelinski is a World-Class Author, Innovator, Content Creator, Professional Speaker, and Unconventional Career Expert with more than 25 years of experience in creative marketing, solo-entrepreneurshp, and making a great living without a real job.

Ernie semi-retired when he was 31 years old and had a net worth of minus $30,000 (because of his student loans). As a result of his creative efforts, however, Ernie today is financially well-off and makes a better income than 85 percent of corporate workers by working only 4 or 5 hours a day.

Ernie's core message — that we all can be more creative and really live life the way it was meant to be lived — is at the heart of all his work.

Ernie deeply believes in the powers of creativity and common sense — instead of hard work — as the most important elements for changing the world; he incorporates those elements into his books, blogs, and speeches.

Outside the corporate world since the early 1980s, Ernie has helped more than 625,000 individuals from all walks of life in their career transitions and retirement planning through his books such as the international bestsellers The Joy of Not Working and How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free and through his Promotional Business Giveaways.

Thousands of individuals have contacted Ernie Zelinski by letter and e-mail about how they have experienced renewal and personal growth as a result of reading one of Ernie's blockbuster books.

Ernie Zelinski's books — with translations in 21 languages — have changed lives around the globe.

Without ever attending the Frankfurt Book Fair where major publishers and agents from around the world go to buy and sell foreign rights, Ernie has negotiated over 101 book deals with publishers in 28 different countries.

Ernie's books have now sold over 625,000 copies worldwide and have been published in 21 languages.

The book is 'peppered' with quotes from people
like Henry Ford, Jerry Garcia, Mother Teresa and
Mad Magazine that give us an inspiring look into
the mindsets of all these successful people and ideas.

Despite being at the top of his class during his various stints at college and university, Ernie Zelinski failed miserably at being a corporate employee. Ernie has put this to his advantage, however, leading a lifestyle that is the envy of the majority of corporate workers.

Over 25 years ago Ernie Zelinski was terminated from his engineering job for taking two and a half months of unauthorized vacation. He was quite flabbergasted, indeed, close to being traumatized. Ernie should have known at the time, however, that he was destined for much greater heights.

A few years later he realized that, from a career perspective, his firing was the best thing that ever happened to him. What’s more, getting fired was great for other aspects of Ernie's life, including his mental and physical health. He still tells his friends, “The two best things I ever did for my well-being were to quit smoking and to get axed from my last real job, never to return to another.”
